REGULATIONS OF IMPORT TO RUSSIA

 

 

Please be advised that Russian Veterinary Authorities has been tightened up the regulations on import into Russia of meat, meat products and other products, requiring Veterinary Certificates.

 

As from 1st May 2006, import of mentioned products is only permitted after the original Veterinary Certificates have been checked and acknowledged by the authorities. As no one single container can be discharged in St. Petersburg without appropriate approval, feeder lines do not accept any cargo required Veterinary Certificates from Europe bound to St. Petersburg.

 

In order to arrange smooth loading of container in Europe, we require copy of the approval from Veterinary Authorities with their original stamp to be presented in our Russia office 5 days before deep-sea vessel arrival to port of transshipment in Europe.

 

After our Russia office get a copy of this document, they will give it back to the customer and confirm the feeder Vendor that container can be loaded on the feeder vessel in Europe.

 

In view of the above, any booking for commodity of ¡§meat products¡¨ or similar products, we ocean carrier will further check and clarify with shipper at origin as well as destination office before booking acceptance. Thus, shipper would require providing relevant certificates upon request at the time of placing booking. We would therefore appreciate your kind co-operation to comply with the above regulations accordingly. Please kindly note that our booking will only be confirmed when all the certificates confirmed ¡¥acceptance¡¦. In case any problems arise due to non-conformance to above-mentioned, all cost incurred thereof will be for the account of the cargo.
